How to use PersiaVPN

Install the app

Download PersiaVPN from Google Play Store and install it on your Android device (Android 7.0+).

Grant VPN permission

On first launch, Android will ask you to allow PersiaVPN to set up a VPN connection. Tap OK to continue.

Choose a server

Tap the server flag on the home screen to open the server list. Free servers are available immediately β€” no account needed.

Connect

Press the large power button. The button turns green and shows Connected when your VPN tunnel is active.

Disconnect

Press the power button again at any time to safely disconnect and restore your normal internet connection.

Try these steps in order:

  1. Check your internet connection β€” make sure mobile data or Wi-Fi is working.
  2. Switch to a different server from the server list.
  3. Force-close the app and reopen it.
  4. Restart your device and try again.
  5. If you are on a restricted network (school, office), try enabling the app's alternate port in Settings.
PersiaVPN offers a free tier with access to Netherlands servers with no time limit. Premium servers (UK, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Poland and more) require a Premium subscription, which unlocks faster speeds, more locations, and priority routing.
No. PersiaVPN operates under a strict no-logs policy. We do not record, store, or share your browsing activity, connection timestamps, IP addresses, or any data that could identify you. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

VPN encryption adds a small overhead. To improve speed:

  • Choose a server geographically closer to you.
  • Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa).
  • Avoid peak hours (evenings in your region).
  • Upgrade to Premium for access to high-bandwidth servers.
PersiaVPN uses the V2Ray (VMess/VLESS) protocol, which is designed to bypass deep packet inspection (DPI) and censorship. It provides strong encryption and is highly resistant to blocking by ISPs and governments.
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. To cancel:
  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon β†’ Payments & subscriptions.
  3. Tap Subscriptions β†’ find PersiaVPN.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Please try the following:

  • Clear the app cache: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ PersiaVPN β†’ Storage β†’ Clear Cache.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the latest version from Google Play.
  • Make sure your Android version is 7.0 or higher.
  • If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and Android version.
Currently PersiaVPN is available for Android. iOS, Windows, and macOS versions are in development. Premium subscribers will be able to use their account on up to 5 devices simultaneously once multi-platform support launches.
Servers marked Coming Soon are being configured and tested. They will be activated in upcoming app updates. Free users will get access to some of these servers; others will be Premium-only.

Connection Issues

Quick fix: 90% of connection issues are resolved by switching to a different server and reconnecting.

Error: "Connection timed out"

Your network may be blocking VPN traffic. Try switching servers or enabling the alternate port option in the app settings.

Error: "Authentication failed"

This usually means the server configuration has been updated. Force-close the app, reopen it, and try connecting again. If the issue persists, contact support.

VPN connects but no internet

Go to Settings β†’ Apps β†’ PersiaVPN and ensure the app has permission to run in the background. Also check that battery optimization is disabled for PersiaVPN.
